James Ellis

Head of Asset Management and Development

James joined Oxenwood in 2025 as Head of Asset Management & Development across the company's core markets of UK and Germany. He brings over 18 years of international real estate experience, including more than 14 years focused on European logistics and industrial real estate. Prior to joining Oxenwood, James held senior roles in London and Frankfurt at Nuveen Real Estate. As a founding member of the European logistics platform, he helped scale it to over €4.2bn AUM, with responsibility for fund management, capital allocation, portfolio strategy and asset performance across multiple European strategies.

He began his career at Colliers International in Dubai before relocating to Germany, subsequently holding valuation roles at Cushman & Wakefield in Frankfurt prior to joining Henderson Global Investors (later Nuveen). James holds an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading, is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK. He is fluent in English and German.
